These are the Terms of Use of the Moneyfacts.co.uk Community (Forums and
Blogs), which is provided by Moneyfacts.co.uk Limited, which you agree to abide
by before being able to read or post messages through this service. If you
don't agree to be bound by these terms, you won't be able to post messages.
Eligibility
The Community is only intended for use in the United Kingdom. These Terms of use
prohibit accessing the service from outside the United Kingdom. Accessing the Forum
from overseas may be a breach of local law and if you do access the Community
from anywhere outside the United
Kingdom you are responsible for compliance
with all such local laws.
You must be at least 18 years old to register as a member of this Community,
and are warranting that this is the case by accepting these Terms of Use. If we
find that you are under 18, we will terminate your account without notice.
In order to post messages on the you will need to register as a member of the
Community.
When you register as a member of the Community, you will need to create a user
name and password which you must keep confidential, and must not disclose to or
share with anyone else. You will be responsible for all postings under your
user name so you must tell us immediately at ServiceDesk@moneyfacts.co.uk if
you know or suspect that someone else knows your password.
Your username must not infer that you are a content moderator or a member of
Moneyfacts.co.uk staff.
Moneyfacts.co.uk reserves the right to remove access to the Community by
disabling your account either permanently or temporarily where there are
persistent breaches of these Terms of Use. This will include any current or
future account you hold or set up.
Posting Messages on the Community
The following rules apply to posting Messages on the Forums and Blogs elements
of the service.
You must not:
- Promote
any commercial enterprise e.g. by naming or giving contact details in your
postings
- include
your telephone number or any e-mail address
- Be
offensive, obscene, inflammatory, abusive, threatening, hateful or
defamatory of any individual or company
- Harass,
threaten, embarrass, or cause distress to anyone else
- Act in
breach (whether knowingly or not) of any applicable law or regulation
which has the force of law, or promote others to do the same.
Content:
All messages and topics posted to the Forums and Blogs are subject to
moderation by content moderators selected by Moneyfacts.co.uk, or who are
employed by Moneyfacts.co.uk. Moderators can remove or amend postings or delete
sections from them.
Any message or topic posted which is in breach of these
Terms of Use will be removed.
Any posting that contains profanity will not be posted and Moneyfacts will be
alerted to the attempted posting.
Any posting which contains a link to any other website
will be reviewed by a content monitor either before or after it has been
posted, and Moneyfacts.co.uk reserves the right to remove the link at its
discretion.
Any content which breaches these Terms of Use will be
removed or not posted at all.
Moneyfacts.co.uk shall not be responsible for any content, other than that
posted by its employees in their capacity as such. You are deemed to be the
Author, Editor and Publisher of any Post you submit to the Discussion Board.
You could risk prosecution if you enter defamatory, libelous or otherwise
objectionable information, infringe any copyrights or breach another's privacy,
breach data protection or public policy (for example the addition of
pornographic or racist material).
All Posts express the views of the Author and not
Moneyfacts.co.uk, and are not endorsed by Moneyfacts.co.uk.
Intellectual Property:
You must not post anything which is the intellectual property of anyone else.
This includes, but is not limited to trademarks, copyright, patent, database
right or other trade secret. Where you post your intellectual property, you are
granting Moneyfacts license to publish this in the Forum.
Responsibility and Liability:
Moneyfacts.co.uk is not responsible for the content of postings and neither is
it responsible or liable for any losses arising out of, actions you choose to
take, or not to take, based on the information in the Forum, or any consequences
of those actions. The content of the Forum is not, and is not intended to be
financial, or any other form of, advice. Moneyfacts.co.uk recommends that you
seek professional financial advice if you are unsure what your options are. Any
decisions you take based on the information in the Forum, eg to purchase or not
to purchase any product, are taken entirely at your own risk. Moneyfacts.co.uk
will not be held liable for any objectionable messages posted on the Discussion
Board.
Indemnification:
You agree to indemnify and hold Moneyfacts.co.uk Limited, and its subsidiaries,
affiliates, officers and employees, harmless from any claim or demand,
including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out
of your use of the Forum, any violation of these Terms of Use by you, or any
infringement by you of any right of any other person, or entity.
Changes to the Forum
Moneyfacts.co.uk reserves the right to remove or change, the Forum without
notice and without liability to you, or to any third party. We will, however
aim to provide notice of removal of the Forum.
Changes to These Terms
Moneyfacts.co.uk reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time and
without notice. You should check them for any changes from time to time, and if
you don't agree with the changes you should not use the Forum again. If you do
this will constitute acceptance of the new Terms of Use.
Use of Your Information
By registering with the Forum, you are agreeing the moneyfacts.co.uk can keep
you informed about products and services via e-mail.
Your information will never be passed outside of
Moneyfacts Group if required to do so by law
General
These Terms of Use form a legal agreement which will be governed by, and
construed in accordance with, English Law and you agree to submit to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts for any action arising out of
these Terms of Use or use of the Community.
In the event that any portion of these Terms of Use is deemed by a court to be
invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
