Moneyfacts.co.uk is proud to announce the lauch of its new community pages. Within these you will find a whole host of tools and functionality which will allow you to enage in debate with other community members to discuss a wide spectrum of financial topics.
Although the service is freely available to anyone wishing to make use of it, either by contributing as a registered member or simply as a passing visitor, we do ask you adhere to the following etiquette to ensure the system remains useful and reliable.
The Do’s:
- Use clear titles and descriptions which everyone will understand, if you use abbreviation where possible please provide it’s meaning.
- Keep your answers consise and to the point.
- Encourage other people such as friends, collegues, contacts who you feel will add value to the discussion through their expertise, to participate.
- Contact us if you would like to contribute indepth analysis or editorial content which you feel will be of use to your fellow members.
- Make use of the many different tools available through this system such as RSS or email notifications to keep you up to date with your discussions.
- Challenge claims in a manner that will help promote the reliability and accuracy of the information made available by other members.
- Help us monitor and maintain the integrity of the service by reporting anyone deemed to be abusing the system.
The Don’ts:
- Confuse fellow members with terminology or vague explanations which will be of very little use or bear no relevance to the discussion.
- Use this system to document your life’s work or an extended version of an answer which could be summurised in a few paragraphs.
- Promote your products, services, or websites as a means of attracting new business.
- Make false claims or de-value information made available by other members without solid and reliable justification.
- Allow yourself to become involved in a discussion of a negative nature which will offer no value to other members of the community.
- Hijack topics by writing about something completely different to the topic title.
- Disrupt the normal flow of dialogue in the forum, or to act in a manner that adversely affects other participants.
