Utilities- Moneyfacts.co.uk’s new comparison service
Npower customers are facing staggering price rises of up to 27% this year, taking the average household’s annual energy bill to over £1,000. Other Energy suppliers are expected to follow suit, with similar eye-watering price rises over the next few weeks. In a market of rising prices, experts are predicting that Energy suppliers will be announcing new capped or fixed rate deals, but often these fixed rate deals require a minimum term of usually one year and have penalties if you try and leave early.
In a climate of higher energy prices, energy suppliers want to lock customers in when prices are high, however, fixed rate deals do offer some protection against future price rises and the experts are predicting further energy price rises in the autumn.
There are deals out there that protect against future price rises, but also allow householders to take advantage of any drop in prices. There are also some good discounts to be had when taking your Gas and Electricity from the same supplier.
We’ve launched our new Utilities price comparison service to help you compare Gas & Electricity suppliers for your area from all the main suppliers, such as British Gas, E.on, EDF Energy, nPower, Scottish Power, Atlantic, Southern Electric, SWALEC, Utilita and Ecotricity.
