    What about Kaupthing Edge? They're an Icelandic bank as well aren't they? Does this mean that Kaupthing are likely to be nationalised as well then?

    Ian, We don't include any savings products in our charts that require additional products to be held or opened with the same provider. The Kaupthing Edge fixed rate bonds you refer to are only available to existing Kaupthing Edge Savings Account customers, hence why we don't include them. Hope...

    I've just opened an Kaupthing account. It was very quick and seems easy to use. Even though it is an Icelandic Bank I believe it operates under FSA rules so your money should be safe.
